June 9, 2021—Julie Clements, assistant principal at Ault Elementary School, was named the principal at Keith Elementary School on June 9. Clements replaces Dawn Tryon, who was named director of community engagement in May.
Clements has 18 years of experience in education, all in CFISD. She began her career as a speech language pathologist before becoming a classroom teacher at Yeager Elementary School in 2008. Clements then moved to Gleason Elementary School, where she served as an instructional specialist for three years. She has served as an assistant principal for eight years, beginning at Frazier Elementary School in 2013 before moving to Ault in 2016.
Clements earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders from Baylor University before receiving her Master of Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She earned her teacher certification through Lone Star College and completed the principal certification program at Stephen F. Austin State University.
“I am honored to be selected to serve as the principal of Keith Elementary,” Clements said. “I look forward to developing authentic relationships with the staff, students and community and working together to continue the tradition of excellence that the Keith Elementary family has established. I am proud to be a Keith Cougar!”
